Gold Plan

Each month, HandyGal will spend a minimum of 2 hours addressing the items on each month’s list of included services. Extra time will be dedicated to the homeowner’s to-do list of projects. Additional time is available to be added at the rate of $50/hr. 

All packages are customized to fit the needs of the specific home and homeowner. An initial on-boarding inspection will be completed with the homeowner to determine a custom home plan.

Below is a baseline example of monthly checklists for this package:

January

  • Vacuum & clean bathroom fan grilles

  • Clean food trap in dishwasher

  • Test and sanitize garbage disposal

  • Vacuum refrigerator coils

  • Vacuum/clean exterior vent covers 

  • Check main water shut off valve for correct operation/leaks

  • Check flush mechanism and shut off valve on toilets for operation/leaks

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

February

  • Inspect all faucet shut off valves for operation/leaks. 

  • Inspect all faucet aerators. Clean/replace as needed. 

  • Test all drains. Clean and adjust stoppers as necessary. 

  • Test and tighten all knobs, handles, and hinges throughout the house. 

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

  • Visual perimeter inspections of exterior of the house. 

March

  • Check water filters. (In-line, refrigerator, etc)

  • Clean all sink P-traps, re-install, and check for leaks. Repair/replace as needed. 

  • Clean furnace and A/C condensation lines and pump boxes if applicable

  • Clean humidifier filter (if applicable)

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

April

  • Test sump pump for operation and inspect basin (unsealed basins only)

  • Inspect gutter downspouts and any first-story gutters. Advise homeowner of gutter cleaning/damage repair as needed. 

  • Inspect household fire extinguisher(s) 

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

  • Visual perimeter inspections of exterior of the house.

May

  • Turn on exterior hose bibs (if they have a shutoff), check for proper operation/leaks, and hook up hoses as needed. 

  • Check all window/door screens and repair/replace as needed. 

  • Check all ceiling fans for proper operation/tighten blades. 

  • Turn off gas fireplace pilot and clean fireplace glass (if applicable)

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

June

  • Clean range vent grease filter.

  • Clean around and inspect the A/C unit.

  • Clean exterior vent covers. 

  • Lubricate garage door tracks and test for proper operation.

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

  • Visual perimeter inspections of exterior of the house for minor issues like caulk repairs, vent obstructions, insects, wasp nests, etc..

July

  • Clean food trap in dishwasher

  • Test and sanitize garbage disposal

  • Vacuum refrigerator coils

  • Fill minor asphalt and concrete cracks (minor = less than ¼”)

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

August

  • Inspect all faucet shut off valves for operation/leaks. 

  • Inspect all faucet aerators. Clean/replace as needed. 

  • Test all drains. Clean and adjust stoppers as necessary. 

  • Test garage door safety shut-off function

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

September

  • Clean entire length of dryer vent

  • Inspect and tighten laundry hoses and check laundry shut off valves for proper operation/leaks.

  • Replace thermostat battery

  • Inspect and vacuum all window/door screens

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

October 

  • Inspect and test gas fireplace and light pilot (if applicable)

  • Inspect exterior hose bibs for operation/leaks

  • Disconnect, drain, and put away hoses for winter

  • Winterize exterior plumbing and AC unit

  • Inspect and spray out gutters (Includes 100 feet of gutters under normal conditions, not exceeding 22’ above the ground)

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

November

  • Clean furnace and A/C condensation lines and pump boxes if applicable

  • Clean humidifier filter (if applicable)

  • Inspect and clear out window wells. 

  • Inspect weather stripping around exterior doors

  • Check all windows for proper weather sealing. Verify window locks work.

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.

December

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors and replace all batteries. 

  • Test/replace garage door keypad batteries.

  • Replace thermostat battery. 

  • Empty/clean washing machine drain pump filter. 

  • Adjust/lubricate problem doors/locks. 

  • Monitor water softener and furnace filter. Fill/replace as needed. 

  • Test all smoke/CO2 detectors.
